ChiroTouch, the leading provider of electronic healthcare records and practice management software for the chiropractic profession, is pleased to announce the launch of a new national scholarship opportunity to benefit chiropractic students enrolled in their school’s clinical clerkship.

ChiroTouch is introducing a new scholarship opportunity to assist the next generation of chiropractors in their chiropractic journey. The aim of this scholarship is to directly assist individual chiropractic students and bring awareness to how technology supports the delivery of chiropractic care now, and in the future. The initial award of $5,000 will be granted to an individual student this calendar year.

ChiroTouch has been an active supporter of chiropractic academia by connecting and engaging students with chiropractic pioneers. In recent years, ChiroTouch launched CTAcademy, a free resource site that provides students, faculty and staff with a webinar series from chiropractic thought leaders such as Kathy Mills Chang and Drs. DePice. As an advocate for students, ChiroTouch also created a special student pricing structure to help alleviate cost burdens for recent graduates to be able to utilize ChiroTouch software while focusing on their main goal quality: patient care. In addition, ChiroTouch has met with dozens of college administrators and IT developers to help them understand how technology can contribute to the student curriculum and clinic operations.

“Beginning in 1999, ChiroTouch has aided more than 21,000 chiropractors in starting and managing their practices with the most efficient and powerful software available,” explained ChiroTouch CEO George Ahn. “As we pass this anniversary milestone, we wanted to turn that celebration outward to recognize and support the next generation of chiropractors as they start their professional journey.”

Candidates of the chiropractic scholarship will be asked to enumerate how technology assists them in the delivery of patient care and supports positive patient outcomes. Scholarship essays will be considered based on the candidate’s creative and thoughtful response to a personal case they have either worked on during their clinic education or a case presented during that time. In addition to the national scholarship, ChiroTouch will initiate college-specific scholarships with schools with which it has technology partnerships. In these ways, ChiroTouch aims to directly assist chiropractic students.

For Students
The chiropractic scholarship application will open for student submission beginning on August 1, 2019 and will run through October 15, 2019 until 11:59pm PST. The merit-based scholarship will be awarded to a full-time chiropractic student in good academic standing who is (1) enrolled in their school’s clinical clerkship and (2) completes the application and essay question before the deadline. Scholarship essay review will be conducted by a panel of ChiroTouch team members including Chiropractors. The winner will be announced on December 1, 2019 and award will be distributed by December 31, 2019. Full details and terms can be found here.

For Chiropractors and Community Members
Individual participation helps to fund the scholarship, as ChiroTouch will donate $10 per person who completes the scholarship launch activity. ChiroTouch’s goal is to engage 500 chiropractors to reach the $5,000 award total. The scholarship launch activity consists of established chiropractors giving their advice to students who are just starting out on their chiropractic journey. There are two ways to participate:

  1. Those attending Parker Seminar in Las Vegas, February 21-23, are asked to share their advice by completing a write-on sticker and placing it on the advice wall located at the ChiroTouch booth, #813. For each piece of advice given, ChiroTouch will add $10 to the fund. The in-booth goal is 300 participants.
  2. Those not attending the Parker Vegas event may participate via social media channels. For each piece of advice posted to an individual’s account or on ChiroTouch’s page that includes the hashtag #mychirojourney, ChiroTouch will add $10 to the fund. Eligible platforms include Facebook, Twitter and Instagram on the above listed dates. The social media goal is 200 participants. This activity is open to all Doctors of Chiropractic and members of the chiropractic community, and does not require show attendance to participate.
