Tips and Tricks for Running Your Practice with ChiroTouch During the COVID-19 Outbreak
With the evolving COVID-19 outbreak, many offices are adjusting the way they do business. We have heard from many of our clients who are looking for ways to use ChiroTouch to effectively manage their needs. Here, we share some tips and tricks that we hope will help you during this difficult time.
The largest theme we are seeing in our community of users is the need to communicate office changes to their patients. In ChiroTouch there are several ways of doing this:
- If you subscribe to CTIntouch, consider sending a Blast Campaign out to patients. Click to review how to create a Blast Campaign.
- If you are not a CTInTouch subscriber, considering sending a Bulk Email. Click for instructions on how to create a Bulk Email.
Another hot topic is how to keep track of cancellations due to the pandemic; we suggest setting up a cancellation reason specific to this. To add this cancellation reason, open the Maintenance application navigate to List Maintenance and select the Appointment Cancellation Reasons list. For a reminder on how to add new entries to an existing list watch this video:
To minimize the number of patients in the office at any given time, some offices have set more stringent rules on the number of appointments they allow. The Appointment Governor feature in ChiroTouch allows you to set rules for the number of allowed appointments in a time frame. This video covers how to establish those rules using the Appointment Governor, scroll to 2:15 minute mark to see that specific content.
Offices that sell supplements have noted that they are shipping those supplements directly to patients, to limit the need to come to their office for pickup. Some offices have asked how to add a shipping cost charge to the system to pass that cost on to their patients. If you would like to add a shipping cost charge to your system you will open the Maintenance application and navigate to the Charges section, from there you will click the Add Charge button. Make sure to add this charge as a Patient Type charge so the charge will not bill to an insurance policy. Review how to add charges with this video:
We hope that these suggestions help you manage your practice and care for your patients as best you can during this difficult period.
